For researchers and healthcare professionals SURF acts as an important new resource. SURF Members can help researchers, professionals and commissioners to:

Identify new research priorities

Develop, design, review and conduct research

Improve the quality and scope of research

Provide new health and social care perspectives

Promote the concerns of patients and the public

Improve the experience of research participants

Produce patient friendly information and documentation

Fulfil Government requirements in relation to involvement and engagement.
